Sven B. Schreiber Well, I wouldn't say that the music of "Section IV" defies genres... in my opionion, it belongs to the neo-prog genre without any doubt. But on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with that. The important thing is that the band contributes great new work to the genre, helping to keep it alive. Favorite track: Inside.

about

Sam Linay ● Robben Harrop ● Richard Locket t Nicko J. Ruddock ● Stuart Robertson

With the aim to make progressive music accesible to the masses and not content to follow any musical trends , Section IV fuse melodic hooks, rich soundscapes and musical dexterity to create music t hat defies genres.

The five experienced musicians that make up Section V are no strangers to stage and studio, and are renowned for their ability to recreate their studio sound live, from the bone crunching riffs of ‘Take you down’ & ‘ IDWTSTWT’ through the subtle nuances and emotion of ‘Inside’ & ‘ Out of the dark’ to the epic, soaring melodies and grandeur of ‘Exile’.

After releasing early demos of tracks which went on to become part of ‘superhuman’, Section IV’s debut release has been hotly anticipated in the prog world, and since release has been described by ‘The Dividing Line’ DJ ‘AJ Giordano’ as having “ …more twists and turns than a box of crazy straws riding a roller coaster …”
